Story Behind the Music
I have always wanted to know how it would sound to create a song in a minor key but with the intentions of making a positive song. This shows my attempt to do so. Modulated from the common C minor, c# minor carries a whoping four sharps. This modulation is to shadow a common minor key yet raise it a half step thus encouraging a more uplifting feel.
This song always follows Skippy, We Suck! as the two songs were created one after another and the ideas behind them are similar. Not only are the ideas behind the music similar, so are the actual instruments used. Most notably, the clarinet is used as the leading tone. The tempo is also strickingly similar.
Like playing Mary Had a Little Lamb in a minor key at a fast tempo, this song flips the convention that songs in a minor key must automatically be either solemn or full of anger and hatred. Breaking this type of stigma is what I live for. It is what I write music for. It is clearly a fun thing to do and it shows through this piece of music.
