Story Behind the Music
Had I ever the patience and dedication I might be able to fully complete more compositions. This song is one of many examples of uncompleted masterpieces that end up being a short but sweet song. I believe that I wrote this song for approximately five hours in one night. I was satisfied enough that I never completed it fully yet made a nice ending that left it open for further composition.
I had an idea of what I wanted to accomplish with this piece of music. I wanted to create some type of praise song that strayed from the musical woes of "Christian Pop." This song ended up becoming a mix between classic jazz and rock, a mix that agrees very well with me. As I wrote it, my previous experience of writing dark music bled onto the song. Although I wanted to write a very uplifting piece of music, habit allowed me to create an odd feeling to every note I added. It all sounded too perfect and would be perfect if performed by live musicians.
